Meet Melanie
Melanie is an accredited mental health social worker, and registered creative arts therapist with over 14 years experience in the field, and holds a Bachelor of Business. She helps allied health professionals go from being fearful about running their own programs to being confident and finding strength in their ability to create new ways of being with their programs and workshops. Her expertise is grounded in both practical experience through developing and facilitating her own successful programs, including Phoenix Grow (for primary school children), Phoenix Flight (for adults), Rage Writing Art Therapy workshops, and both the Introduction to Creative Arts Therapy Workshop and the Empathy Edge accidental counselling professional development; and academic rigor, having facilitated the Groupwork Intensive School for Social Work students at Charles Sturt University.
She also loves making art, escaping through reading books, and spending time with her cats and her son. She’s an introvert who loves a good flat white, and is disgusted when the cup comes with too much foam.
