Hello, my name is Kim (she/her).

I hold a Bachelor of Human Services and a Graduate Certificate in Developmental Trauma, and I'm currently completing my Master of Social Work, with an expected graduation in November 2026. I feel genuinely grateful to be undertaking my placement with the team at Phoenix Wings Wellness.

I've always believed that people deserve spaces where they can be themselves, without having to perform or explain. That belief has shaped my personal life and my professional path, and it continues to guide the work I do in community and disability services.

Across my career, I've walked alongside individuals and families through change, loss, uncertainty and growth. Again and again, I've seen that healing often starts with something simple: someone finally feeling accepted, sometimes for the first time.

Everyone carries a story, and strengths that are easy to lose sight of when things are hard. My hope is to help people reconnect with those strengths, and with their own capacity for change.

My areas of interest include developmental trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, neurodiversity, women's wellbeing and parenting. I'm particularly drawn to creative, strengths-based and person-centred approaches, and I enjoy finding ways to make support feel engaging and genuinely useful rather than clinical.

I work with people one-on-one, and I also value what happens in groups, when people realise they're not the only ones carrying something. Some of the most meaningful conversations happen when a person feels they don't have to pretend, and creating that kind of space is a big part of why I do this work.

Outside of study and placement, you'll usually find me with my grandchildren, out in nature, dreaming up new community projects, or having a good coffee and a longer conversation than planned. I've learned that kindness, curiosity and genuine connection change things, often in ways we don't expect.

I'm looking forward to meeting you, and walking alongside you wherever you're at.
